Humana Senior Business Intelligence Engineer in Helena, Montana

The Humana Enterprise Operations Enablement (EOE) - CPSS Data & Analytics - BI (Business Intelligence) team is a high performing team focused on data, data visualization and data science supporting Humana's Service Operations. The team is focused on converting data to actionable insights for our business partners who can utilize to reduce administrative cost and improve the customer's experience. The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer position will be supporting BI work for Group Benefits (GBO/SSO) and providing application support for the Verint Workforce Management software organizations.

The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer will independently design, develop, document, and deploy reporting solutions. In this role you will analyze data to solve a wide variety of business problems and create data visualizations that drive strategic direction. The insights you provide will influence department's strategy and help define best practices and design standards. As a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer, you will make decisions on technical approach for projects that range in complexity. In this role you will also provide technical and guidance on design in partnership with team members and business partners.

Responsibilities :

  • Data visualization development and administration, emphasis on Power BI/Power Platform.

  • Ability to lead large projects.

  • Assist with best practices and business intelligence standards.

  • Developing visual reports, dashboards, or KPI scorecards.

  • Developing or assisting teams with internal quality and process improvement initiatives.

  • Connecting to data sources, importing, and transforming data.

  • Present developed solutions or lead solution discussion in front of large senior and executive audiences.

Required Qualifications

  • Advanced data analytics skills and reporting experience to include working with large complex data sets within large organizations

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Power BI, Power Query, Tableau and/or DAX

  • Technical experience with Power Platform - Power Apps and/or Power Automate

  • Advanced experience working with big and complex data sets within large organizations including query languages SQL/PLSQL

  • Experience analyzing data to solve a wide variety of business problems and create data visualizations that drive strategic direction

  • Expertise in Microsoft Office applications Word, Excel, Access, and/or PowerPoint

  • Proficiency in verbal and written communication to senior and executive leadership

  • Proven experience with consulting with and building relationships with business partners

  • Critical thinker who can anticipate team needs and take initiative to present ideas, ask the right questions and deliver the highest quality work

  • Self-starter that can work independently with minimal direction and takes ownership and anticipates future consequences and trends accurately

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information to non-technical professionals

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Statistics, Economics, Business Administration, Computer Science or related field

  • Prior experience or comprehensive knowledge with Python

  • Experience with Call Center operations and/or Learning Facilitation/Training environments

  • Experience working with Workforce Management and/or healthcare Group Benefits data

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics (ASA) and/or exposure to Azure Cloud Services

  • Expertise in creating analytics solutions for various healthcare sectors

Work at Home/Remote Requirements

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$78,800 - $108,500 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
